I wanted to share how much it has helped me to be able to go see a Christian counselor at the Lighthouse recently.
I wanted to share how much it has helped me to be able to go see a Christian counselor at the Lighthouse.
I had been severely depressed for several years, then became suicidal. It has taken time to really feel better, but the things that have been a problem for me are finally getting worked out. It's great to have someone to talk with, and be sure I'm still keeping things together, since it has taken so much time to feel better.
In the past when I've met with counselors, I've always had to be sure they could deal with the fact that I'm a Christian. My walk with Christ plays a big role in what I need to work on. At Lighthouse, it's great not to have to worry about that. My counselor understands perfectly where I'm coming from, and how to help me. Thank you to everyone at the Lighthouse for a wonderful place to go when people like me are hurting.
