ABOVE THE STORM
On Saturday, December 19, 2009, a dedicated team of gifted artists presented a stirring benefit concert on behalf of Lighthouse. This event was the culmination of nearly 200 volunteer hours over 2.5 months.
Featuring vocal and instrumental music, combined with the beauty of liturgical dance, Above The Storm was designed not only to raise funds for Lighthouse, but to minister rest, comfort and encouragement to the audience as well. Based upon the response we received, both goals were accomplished despite totally unplanned "special effects." At the height of the concert, the electricity suddenly went out!
As God would have it, this unexpected addition to the program was perfectly timed. It emphasized the fact that the God who rules the earth is much bigger than any problem we have. He can help us remain at peace and hear HIS VOICE above whatever storm we may be facing.

To their credit, not one of the artists gave any indication that the room was suddenly silent and dark, but, instead, continued to give their all for the glory of God.
